Would it even be summer without the sweet and sticky juice of watermelon running down your face?! Nope. But when faced with cutting a giant watermelon, it can be hard to know where to start. These four easy steps will have you eating the fruit in no time and ready for some Margarita Watermelon! Perfect wedges are on their way!
1. Cut off the ends.
Lay the watermelon on a cutting board and trim both ends with a sharp (or serrated) knife.
2. Slice in half.
Stand the watermelon up on one of the cut ends and slice down the middle to create two big halves.

3. Quarter.
Lay each half flesh side-down and cut in half again, lengthwise. You'll have a total of 4 long pieces.
4. Make triangles.
Turn each quartered piece horizontal along the cutting board and slice into 1" thick strips to create triangles.
Don't forget to salt the watermelon before you serve it! It's totally optional, but helps bring out the sweetness. It's also much better served cold, so we recommend keeping it in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
