Portland, Oregon-based ice cream company Salt & Straw is known for unusual flavors, like Charred Corn Curd, Cotija & Tajin and Green Fennel & Maple. And their latest creation is one of their strangest yet: ice cream for dogs called Pup Cups.
Salt & Straw's first-ever dog-friendly ice cream, Apple & Carrots with Sweet Potato Ribbons, is made using human-grade ingredients. The non-dairy frozen treat features a smooth coconut ice cream base with pieces of apples and carrots and swirls of sweet potato.
Pup Cups will be available for purchase Friday, August 26, which is conveniently National Dog Day. There will be several ways to get your paws on the new flavor. They will be available online as a 12-pack for $65, which includes nationwide shipping. The Pup Cups will also be sold in Salt & Straw shops, and for local delivery and pickup as individual cups for $3.75 each.
