5 Things You Should Never Eat Before A Night Of Drinking
The wrong meal could ruin everything.
What you eat for dinner before a big night out will determine whether you're the life of the party...or the story everyone tells the next day.
Don't forget to pin it for later!
One of the worst things alcohol does to your body is dehydrate you. So snacking on treats like popcorn, chips and pretzels—which are notorious for drying your mouth (and body) out—is like getting a head start on the problem. Instead, reach for something that's filled with water like cucumber slices or watermelon.
While leafy greens are good for your body in a lot of ways, we all know that eating a simple salad before going out is like going out on an empty stomach. Can you say "zero to one hundred real quick"? Make sure it has some form of protein in it like chicken, which takes longer to digest and will slow down the rise of your blood alcohol level.
Aside from the fact that raw fish and shots of vodka don't sound delish, you're more than likely dunking your crunchy tuna roll in lots and lots of soy sauce. Salt = dehydration , and drinking + dehydration = worst hangover of your life.
We'll admit it: nothing sounds more amazing than a huge pile of greasy fries. But a layer of grease in your stomach before you go drinking only ensures that it's going to come up later.
Consider this: if it upsets your stomach when you're sober, it'll feel twice as awful when you're drunk. As much as we love a good round of buffalo wings, they'll have to sit out before a night of heavy drinking.
